CMEC works closely with the two potable water suppliers in the Cayman Islands, the Water Authority-Cayman (WAC) and the Cayman Water Company (CWCo), utilizing their specifications and requirements to install water mains in new and existing developments. We install water mains in new and existing subdivisions and new multifamily residential complexes. We have installed over 75,000 linear feet of PVC gasket pipes ranging from 2” to 12” diameter combined and upwards of 10,000 liner feet of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) fusion welded pipes from 2” to 24” diameter. We employ specialized trenching equipment to cut through the mostly rocky terrain to achieve the depth requirement. Our Vermeer trenchers pulverizes the limestone rock that is sometimes recycled into the backfilling material to give our clients the best value for money. CMEC provides the water main installation services to public and private sectors. All CMEC’s installations are carried out under the vigilance of the suppliers, WAC and CWCo, inspectors. All mains are tested and sterilized to fulfill the requirements set out by WAC & CWCo.
